Patients are admitted to the General Medical Unit after referral to the admitting general medical registrar of the day. Patients previously under the care of another General Medical Unit within the previous twelve months are referred to the previous Medical Unit. Referral is by way of telephone or fax from the physicians’ rooms or General Practitioners’ rooms, via the Emergency Department | |||
